Cash Prices and Information

What’s the difference between Deductible, Coinsurance, and Copay?

Deductible

  • A Deductible is the amount you pay for health care services before your health insurance begins to pay.

Coinsurance

  • Coinsurance is your share of the costs of a health care service. It’s usually figured as a percentage of the amount allowed to be charged for services. You start paying coinsurance after you’ve paid your plan’s deductible.

Copay

  • A Copay or copayment is a relatively small fixed fee required by a health insurer to be paid by the patient at the time of each office visit, outpatient service, or filling of a prescription.       The amount can vary by the type of service and typically is not applied to your deductible.

Because Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology are standalone radiology clinics, we are able to bill as an office visit. This means typically your visit will result in only a co-pay, which means less out-of-pocket cost for you.

If you are not enrolled in a plan with a copayment option, Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology prices are on average 40% less expensive when looking at bottom line costs.

Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology bill globally which means the technical fee (facility charge) and the professional fee (radiologist charge) are included in the price.  If you are price shopping an exam, make sure to ask if both fees are included in the charge.

If you have a specific radiology exam you would like priced, please call our offices at 319-545-7310.
