Billing

Because Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology are stand-alone radiology centers, we are able to bill as an office visit. This means your visit will typically result in only a co-pay, which means less out-of-pocket cost for you.

Coinsurance

Your share of the costs of service. It is usually figured as a percentage of the amount allowed to be charged for services. You start paying the coinsurance after you've paid your plan's deductible.

Deductible

The amount you pay for health care service before your health insurance begins to pay.

Copay

Also known as copayment, is a relatively small, fixed fee required by a health insurer to be paid by the patient at the time of each office visit, outpatient service, or filling of a prescription. The amount can vary by the type of service and typically is not applied to your deductible.

Pricing Transparency

We know insurance can be puzzling and calculating out-of-pocket costs can be confusing. Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology bill globally, which means all aspects of your exam are covered under one price. Regardless if you are choosing to utilize your insurance or our same day, self-payment fee schedule.

Because our only focus is Radiology, we do not have to supplement the overhead costs of a large institution, allowing us to offer lower base price cost. Base price refers to the price of the exam that is submitted to insurance.

We are also able to offer a significant discount for patients who prefer to forgo using their insurance, are under-insured, or un-insured. This option is beneficial and open to all patients and is especially advantageous for those who have high-deductibles, or are enrolled in self-insured or HSA plans.
