Billing

Because Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology are stand-alone radiology centers, we are able to bill as an office visit. This means your visit will typically result in only a co-pay, which means less out-of-pocket cost for you.

Coinsurance

Your share of the costs of service. It is usually figured as a percentage of the amount allowed to be charged for services. You start paying the coinsurance after you've paid your plan's deductible.

Deductible

The amount you pay for health care service before your health insurance begins to pay.

Copay

Also known as copayment, is a relatively small, fixed fee required by a health insurer to be paid by the patient at the time of each office visit, outpatient service, or filling of a prescription. The amount can vary by the type of service and typically is not applied to your deductible.

Pricing Transparency

Navigating insurance can be complicated, and understanding out-of-pocket expenses can be challenging. At Corridor Radiology and Muscatine Radiology, we offer global billing, meaning all elements of your exam are included in a single price, whether you opt to use your insurance or choose our same-day self-payment fee schedule.

Since we specialize solely in Radiology, we avoid the overhead costs associated with larger institutions, enabling us to provide lower base prices for our services. The base price represents the exam cost submitted to insurance.
