At Corridor Radiology, we provide top-notch medical imaging services to help diagnose and treat various conditions. Our ultrasound-guided, core-needle biopsy procedure is a minimally invasive technique that allows our doctors to accurately target the area of concern.

During the procedure, the patient is comfortably lying down while the radiologist uses ultrasound technology to guide the needle to remove a small amount of tissue from the breast. The area of concern is numbed with lidocaine and 3-5 samples of breast tissue are taken. The radiologist may also insert a small, titanium marker inside the breast to mark the location of the biopsy. The tissue sample is then sent to a lab and analyzed.
